This weekend, I’m in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with the voice of reason and his family. We’ll be bike riding, and eating food, and swimming, and just generally hanging out and relaxing. I’m really looking forward to it. Fun fact, our third date was last Labor Day weekend, where I went to Victoria, BC with his family. The way I saw it, it would help me rapidly decide whether or not I wanted to do this. And I do. Oh, I should probably find a happy anniversary something or other.
Here are some posts I enjoyed this week:
Tie the Money Knot discusses six financially toxic people. Do you know any?
Teacher Man wants to know the best finance tip people learned in high school. I don’t have a good answer — do you?
Jenna wrote about our meetup in Portland — click through for the picture — my veil of semi-anonymity is slowly coming apart (I’m the one with curly hair).
Andi wrote (basically in response to my comments, I think!) about how important it is to have life insurance, even if you are a single person, because isn’t there anyone who might benefit from a policy?
Frugal Portland elsewhere:
- Over at the College Investor, I discussed my alternative to life insurance.
- My “let’s not judge too quickly” post was featured in “best of summer” at Yakezie.
- At So Over This, I asked for $5. Well, not really. But that would be fun, wouldn’t it? Hey, who wants a guest post where I ask your readers for money?
