It was just a few days ago that I lamented that I lost money on what was supposed to be a money-making venture.
Lucky for me, I have really nice friends.
I had my friends over for family dinner, and I told one of them that she inspired me. There are all kinds of stories about how so and so made a bunch of money because something that wasn’t junk ended up in the junk drawer.
I told her that I’d just about thrown in the towel, and she said, with a gleam, “did you already mail the rest of everything?”
I hadn’t. So, after dinner, we sat down and sorted.
Thus, a beautiful partnership was formed.
She loves to look through things (and she has the best eye for teeny tiny scratches on metal). So! I’ll be making my money back, plus about ten bucks.
And we’re going to start a partnership. She’ll sort, I’ll post, I’ll mail out.
We’ll split costs and divide profits.
And! Another friend of mine will act as the “cash for gold” person, only not a complete slimeball.
Soon I’ll have tens of dollars.
Or maybe? I’ll find one of those $60K rings.
You never know.
