This is my favorite post of each month. There are some personal blogs that I read that don’t like to show their net worth and what not, and part of me thinks, “what’s the big deal?” and the other part of me thinks, “well, I’ll likely be more buttoned up when, instead of reducing my debt, I’m building my wealth.”
It’s fun to think about that next step — and think that soon, really soon, these lines will be going up, since I’ll be tracking things other than debts owed.
All right, let’s take a look, shall we?
Free of credit cards, sure. But lets take another look:
My goal for the next month is to get the yellow line under the red line.
My goal this year is to get out of student loan debt. It would be great to see that yellow line hanging out at zero.
This is possible, but absolutely a stretch.
That’s okay — nobody ever got ahead by setting goals that are too easy to reach.
