So much of my life involves my computer, and this weekend I unplugged.
Well, sort of.
I mean, I was using the Kindle Fire, but it doesn’t check email unless I ask nicely, so I was primarily reading blogs and my book.
So, I got to my email this morning, and found I had over a hundred emails in various folders — 73 in my “places where I’ve signed up” folder.
I unsubscribed from the following:
- daily deals (most of them)
- daily emails from retailers where I’ve actually bought something
- emails marketing things I’d never heard of
- emails that were snippets.
I have mentioned before how much I hate snippets. But if you’re reading this, consider this a plea. If you are lucky enough to get people to subscribe to your blog (especially via email!) don’t force them to click through after reading only two sentences. I’ll click through to comment, I promise! It’s just litter in my email.
Happy short week everyone!
