This week, I’ve been working remotely in Sacramento. On Monday that meant I didn’t leave the hotel room except to go downstairs while they were cleaning. That made me lonely and grumpy, two things I did not want to feel while hanging out with my man!
So, Tuesday, I decided I’d spend the morning, at least, away from the hotel room. On a whim, I sent Tracy an email. She emailed me long ago, when I first started talking about Sacramento, and she gave me a list of fun places to go. She mentioned a coffee shop with a garden attached to the back. So, right before I left, I told her I was heading over there and did she want to meet up?
And she did! I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous, but once I realized she’s a normal, lovely, fun person, which didn’t take very long, I relaxed, and we chatted for about 45 minutes.
Then, she gave me free tickets to the theater.
And a two-for-one sundae coupon.
Now I want her to start blogging, because that was honestly the coolest thing to come of this, and now I understand why all of you keep talking about the Financial Blogger’s conference!
