This is my second submission to Grateful Thursday.
Today I am grateful for family. This week I have two lovely cousins (from different families!) visiting, out of their own accord. One’s from Nebraska and the other is from the suburbs of Chicago, and earlier this year, one of them sent a Facebook message, asking if she could visit for a week.
Without hesitation, I said yes. And now, they’re here, exploring the glorious Pacific Northwest with me. On our list: food carts, rose garden, Mt. Tabor, Seattle, Everett, Oregon Coast, Pok Pok, outside fun, inside fun, and they may even wrap a few caramels with me.
We’re going to burn some rubber on the road, and we’re going to have the best time.
I’m grateful that I have the kind of family that finds it important to get together once a year. To congregate and play games, relax, and go camping (or hotel camping!). To laugh and play and sing songs by the camp fire. To hang out.
My family is so cool that they don’t call it a reunion. They call it a Fish Bash.
