I’m in a long distance relationship and I live alone. Sometimes life can get a little lonely. So I’ve started making mental notes to myself in the future. This will be updated periodically, but the goal is that living in the moment and appreciating what I have now is more important than constantly yearning for the next step.
- On April 14, you ate eggplant for dinner, then you went out with your friends and had too much champagne. You woke up the next morning and watched a movie in pajamas. That was a good morning.
- On April 16, your cousin Courtney came to Portland and you got to see her and hang out with her family. She has a baby, who is very cute. But on April 16, 2012, you did not have to deal with a poopy, stinky kid. That’s what parents are for.
- On April 17, you left clothes in the bathroom, so watch out when you reprimand those who live with you for doing the same.
- You were happy this week. There was a lot to love, a lot to laugh about, and a lot of smiling. You will never forget this, hopefully, but family is so, so important. You have family you’re related to by blood, and family you’re related to by love.
